Got his start in golf from his father. Played the PGA Tour of Australasia from 2000-02. Earned his first trip to the PGA Tour via a T-17 finish at the 2002 Qualifying Tournament. He didn't finish in the top-125 money winners until his fifth year on the Tour in 2007, continuing to play the Tour each year by making it through Q-School or finishing between 125th and 150th on the money list. Fell to Tiger Woods, 1-up, at the 1992 U.S. Junior Amateur at Wollaston Golf Club in Milton, Mass.

Nationwide Tour Summary: Tournaments entered - 23; in money - 11; top ten finishes - 1; stroke average 71.79 (ranked 98th); money $31,312 (ranked 111th); best finish T8th, SAS Carolina Classic.

Notes: Saved the best for last, finishing 6th at Disney to finish 123rd on the money list. Didn't matter since he was in the first of a two-year exemption for winning at Mayakoba in 2009.

Notes: Had a career year with two wins and personal best finishes in the FedExCup (No. 22) and on the money list (No. 19). Won the Waste Management Phoenix Open, beating Jason Dufner in a playoff.

Notes: Won for the fifth time at the Humana Challenge. Posted his lowest PGA Tour round when he shot a 10-under-par 62 in the second round. All five of his wins have come in the year's first quarter. Earned second top-five finish of the season with a third-place showing at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. Advanced to the semifinals with 3-and-2 victories over Bo Van Pelt and Robert Rock and 4-and-3 wins over Dustin Johnson and Peter Hanson before falling to eventual winner Hunter Mahan, 2 and 1. Bounced back to defeat Lee Westwood, 1-up, in the consolation match to notch his best finish in a WGC event. After the Match Play Championship, the next top-10 finish came 19 starts later when he finished T-10th at The McGladrey Classic. Finished 59th in the FedEx Cup and 37th on the money list.

Notes: Made nine of 19 cuts and finished 111th in the final FedEx Cup standings and 91st in the money race. He started the year with a 4-under 69, and he shared the opening-round lead with Dustin Johnson and Nick Watney at the weather-shortened Hyundai Tournament of Champions. A 3-over 76 in the second round derailed his hopes of adding the Big Island tournament title to his win at the 2011 Sony Open in Hawaii. A final-round, 3-under par 70 led to a T-11th finish. Finished T-3rd at the Arnold Palmer Invitational for his best finish. Did not play again until four weeks later, at the RBC Heritage, where he had a T-9th effort. In July, played Glen Abbey GC's five par-5s in 12-under par, which helped him to a T-6th with Roberto Castro and John Merrick at the RBC Canadian Open.

Notes: Made nine of 25 cuts and finished 183rd in the final FedEx Cup standings and 192nd in the money race, winning $155,313. Best finish was T-23rd at the Wells Fargo Championship, marking the first time since he joined the PGA Tour in 2003 without posting at least one top-10 outing.

Notes: Played in 28 PGA Tour events, making 17 cuts with three top ten finishes. He was 95th in the final FedEx Cup standings and 116th in the money race, winning $851,845. Best finish was T-7th at the Travelers Championship.
