Andrew got his start in the game, like many, at an early age with his mother and father (Jane and James Johnson). His love for the game and desire to be a tour professional were evident immediately. Andrew played his way through the junior ranks in Indiana, racking up accomplishments, and completed his college golf career at Ball State University with Academic All-American honors. Andrew has been around the game for more than 40 years, and, a self-professed tinkerer, could seemingly turn everyday items into training aids in pursuit of consistency and a trusted golf swing when it mattered most.

He played college golf at Ball State University and turned professional in 1995.

Played on the Canadian Tour from 2000 to 2004, played in 32 events. Had three top-ten finishes, T-2nd at 2002 MTS Classic, T-3rd at the 2004 Barton Creek Challenge, and 5th in 2002 Bay Millos Open.

Played on the European Challenge Tour in 2003, he played in 19 events but only made three cuts, best finish T-23rd at the Benmore Dev N. Ireland Masters.

In 2005 got his Korn Ferry Card and played between 2005 and 2009. Made 118 career Korn Ferry starts, with three top ten finishes. He won the 2005 Cleveland Open.

Played twice on the PGA Tour, missed the cut at the 2007 PODS Championship, was T-72nd at the 2013 Sanderson Farms Championship.

Has played in five PGA Tour Champions events, T-41st 2022 U.S. Senior Open, T-43rd 2022 DICK'S Sporting Goods Open, 62nd 2022 Ally Challenge, T-27th at the 2023 SAS Championship, and T-32nd at the Chubb Classic.

Has been a teaching pro in the Orlando area.
