His first year on The European Tour in 2002 left him in 133rd place on the Order of Merit but a return to the Qualifying School was rewarded with a return to the European Tour. He made use of it, finishing 107th in 2003 to avoid a return trip. Enjoyed similar returns in 2004 and 2005, where he finished 90th and 105th, respectively, on the Order of Merit. In his formative years, despite his tender age, his frustrated family persuaded Dereham Golf Club to bend their rules and admit him after he began breaking windows and digging up the lawn while practicing.
"They thought I'd be better off digging up the course," he said. Still coached by his first mentor, Steve Beckham, with whom he worked at Barnham Broom, but decided club golf was not for him. Club members came to his aid in 2001 by buying shares to cover his costs on the Challenge Tour. He was able to keep his European Tour card between 2002 and 2007, but lost it in 2008.
Showed nerves of steel at the 2011 European Tour Qualifying School to earn his playing rights for 2012. Needing to par the last two holes to get in on the mark, he hacked out of bushes, chipped onto the green to ten feet, and holed the putt at the 17th, then sank a 15-footer for par at the last, having again been in trouble off the tee. Had spent the previous three seasons on the Challenge Tour, with limited success.
Was able to play on the European Tour in 2012 and 13th before losing it for the last time. Between 1999 and 2017, played in 258 DP World Tour events, making 136 cuts. He was in the top ten 8 times; his best finishes were T-2nd at the 2003 Madeira Island Open and the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles. He earned euro1,660,200. He qualified and played in two British Opens, missing the cut in 2005 and Finishing T-48th in 2006.
He first appeared on the European Legends Tour in August 2023, just as he turned 50, and it was an impressive start to his time on the Tour, with two top-ten finishes in the four events he played. He finished T-16th during his birthday week at the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship in his first event, then claimed T-9th at the Senior Italian Open. Had his best finish, a 5th at the Vinpearl DIC Legends Vietnam, and rounded off the season with a T-34th place finish at the MCB Tour Championship in Mauritius.

At the end of the year, at the Legends Tour Q-Shool finished 5th and claimed the final card for the 2025 Legends Tour season.
