The Volunteer of the Year award is named after Dr. John M. Proos III. His commitments towards the success of the 2012 and 2014 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championships were perfect examples of John giving back. We can think of no one more deserving given his warm personal style, giving nature and willingness to roll up his sleeves to help others. It is our hope that his model volunteerism will live on through this award and inspire people of our community to give the most valuable resource we all have, time.
